Self
guided Hiking or Biking
What more dramatic setting can there be for walking,
hiking and biking than the Mont Blanc massif and the
surrounding hills and valleys making up the Alps? From
our base at the Hotel Le Regina in the beautiful spa
town of St Gervais we have put together a stunning series
of walks and rides amongst Europe's highest peaks. These
range from easy to very challenging and each route comes
with a full map, route instructions, timings and a packed
lunch. Some start form the hotel, and others from further
afield – if you don’t bring your own car
we can arrange for transport to the start and back from
the finish. Simply choose a route of the level of difficulty
and location that suits you each day. Mix and match
walking and cycling or stick to your favourite. Have
an action packed week or take it easy…the choice
and flexibility is yours!
Use of the ski lift system for walkers
and mountain bikers alike allows access to the best
views and the ability to cover a good amount of ground
with ease during the week. If you prefer to have a guide
for one or more days we are also happy to arrange this.

Motorcycling
through the mountain passes of France, Italy and Switzerland
The Alps contains some of the most spectacular motorcycling
you can imagine – winding mountain passes, lush
valleys and spectacular climbs culminating in views
of Europe’s highest snow-capped peaks. Combined
with the picturesque towns of the region, the opportunity
to include 3 countries within a 30 minute ride, and
to re-create some classic routes from the film ‘The
Italian Job’ makes this a week to remember.
We have put together a varied itinerary
of routes to suit all-comers. From long days on the
road, to shorter days to include some of the local sights,
you can mix and match the days to suit you.
Accommodation
7 nights hotel, twin or double ensuite rooms.
Food
All breakfasts lunches and 6 dinners are included.
Itinerary
Day 1 Arrive St Gervais.
Day 2 Take the Mont Blanc
tunnel into Italy and ride through the Aosta valley,
marvelling at the ski resorts attached to the hillside.
Take the winding mountain pass to Cervinia, the picturesque
mountain town at the base of the Matterhorn. Enjoy lunch
and a ride up the mountain in the cable car. Take a
leisurely ride back, stopping for an afternoon drink
in the upmarket ski resort of Courmayeur.
Day 3 Ride to Chamonix
and take a ride up the 3,800m Aiguille de Midi. From
here enjoy close-up views of Mont Blanc and a panorama
of the whole of the mountain range and the Chamonix
valley. Descend for a late lunch in Chamonix. Spend
the afternoon browsing the town and indulging in a spot
of shopping or return to St Gervais via the scenic valley-side
road.

of the stunning Chamonix valley, enjoying the view of
Europe’s highest mountains on either side. Cross
the border into Switzerland and enjoy the descent into
the Swiss mountain town of Martigny. From here cross
into your third country of the day, Italy, via the stunning

Best

The circuit of Mont Blanc is one of the finest walking
routes in the Alps. It is in reality a series of paths
linking the seven valleys that surround the highest
mountain in western Europe. To complete the whole circuit
normally takes a fortnight, but for those with less
time this one-week trip takes in the outstanding sections,
from Trient in Switzerland to Les Contamines in France,
and Italy's Aosta region. You stay the full week at
the Hotel Le Regina and using our own minibus we travel
out each day to rejoin the walk where we left off; most
transfers are short, and after each day's walk we return
to the hotel, avoiding the need to carry luggage, or
pack and unpack each day. The hotel has 15 bedrooms
all with ensuite facilities, a fully licensed bar, a
super restaurant and a sunny courtyard where meals and
that all essential refreshment may be taken.
